Do you need to apply for study leave?

All bookings with Medicology Ltd are firm registrations; however we recognise the need to be able to apply for study leave or approval to attend. This means that you can obtain a full refund should your study leave request not be granted, subject to complying with the following conditions.

Registrations

  • Standard cancellation policy (see below) applies from the point of registration
  • For courses 5+ weeks ahead at the registration date, course fees will be fully refunded/ credited if study leave is not granted and delegates have informed Medicology of this within 28 days of their registration date (i.e. you have 28 days to seek study leave approval). Cancellation must be in writing, by post or e-mail, and must include a copy of the study leave refusal.
  • For courses occurring 5 weeks or less from the date of registration, course fees will be fully refunded/ credited if approval to attend/ study leave is not granted and delegates have informed Medicology of this within 7 days of their registration date (i.e. you have 7 days to seek study leave/ approval to attend). Cancellation must be in writing, by post or e-mail, and must include a copy of the study leave refusal or refusal by educational supervisor.

If your hospital has not approved your application within 28 days and you wish to attend, please contact us within that time so that we may consider extending your application period in which you can receive a full refund (at our sole discretion).
  • Joining instructions will be issued to you via e-mail before the course is due to take place.

Standard Cancellation Policy

  • Non-attendance following issue of invoice – 100% of course fees payable
  • 14 actual days or less from course or seminar date – 100% of course fees payable
  • 15 – 28 actual days from course or seminar date – 50% of course fees payable
  • 29+ days from course or seminar date – Administration charge of £45.00
  • In all cases we will do our best to seek alternatives such as different courses or dates subject to availability and the integrity of the original course booked but the onus is on delegates to inform us as early as possible of any attendance problems they are experiencing
  • We promise to do our best under the natural business constraints we also have to work with
If you have any queries related to this policy, which is designed to ensure the viability of courses for all applicants whilst ensuring you can safely apply for study leave without risk, then please contact Nick Hall on 01332 821260 or email him at nick@medicology.co.uk
